Workshops

If you can't make a workshop, Ginger's new techniques blog is the next best thing: http://gingersteele.blogspot.com/. Here, she'll describe basic and advanced methods, and illustrate lessons with photos of works in progress.

The recent Form and Texture workshop was a great success! Thanks to everyone who participated! Gale Everett posted a nice write-up with pictures on her blog – click here to check it out.

Form and Texture

A workshop with Ginger Steele
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM October 31, 2009
$50.00

We'll make stamps, rollers, and textural mats, and learn to condition clay for perfect surface textures every time.  I'll demonstrate hand-building of spouts, using a mandrel, and how to trim and attach your handbuilt spouts to thrown or handbuilt vessels.

We'll also explore how to use a compass to create conic patterns for
handbuilding, and make several teapots and pitchers, focusing on handbuilt lid-making. A tasty vegetarian lunch will be included.
